Zovirax Suspension is used to treat viral infections. It plays a vital role in treating cold sores (an inflamed blister in or near the mouth, caused by infection with the herpes simplex virus), genital herpes (a common sexually transmitted infection marked by genital pain and sores), and herpes zoster (a viral infection that causes a painful rash). In addition to this, it is also used to treat chickenpox. Zovirax Suspension does not cure herpes but does not allow the infection to spread and treat its symptoms.
Zovirax Suspension contains Aciclovir, which is an antiviral medication. Zovirax Suspension prevents the multiplication of viruses in human cells by acting on their DNA, resulting in decreased viral overload.
Zovirax Suspension is taken with or without food in a dose and duration as advised by the doctor. The dose you are given will depend on your condition. In some cases, you may experience headaches, feeling dizzy, feeling or being sick (nausea or vomiting), diarrhoea, rash, and skin sensitivity to sunlight. Most of these side effects of Zovirax Suspension are temporary, do not require medical attention, and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects are persistent, reach out to your doctor.
Take Zovirax Suspension only if the doctor prescribes you. Never encourage self-medication or suggest your medicine to someone else. Do not take Zovirax Suspension if you are allergic to Zovirax Suspension, aciclovir, or any of its ingredients. Check with your doctor if you're pregnant, currently breastfeeding, or taking any other prescribed or non-prescribed medicines. Use protection while having sexual intercourse to avoid the transfer of genital herpes (a sexually transmitted disease) to your partner. If you have a weak immune system, please inform your doctor before taking Zovirax Suspension as a dose adjustment may be required.
How to take Zovirax Suspension: Zovirax Suspension is to be taken by mouth, preferably before a sexual activity test as may be the case with oral suspension, as advised by your doctor. The usual dose is 5 mg, taken 1 to 2 times a day, up to 4 to 6 hours apart. If you are advised to take a more extended dose, doctor's advice or else will determine the appropriate one depending on the severity of the symptoms. In general, people should not take more than what’s recommended by their doctor, which many people are advised not to take, even if the medicine looks good. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, unless your doctor has told you not to take it, but if not, contact your doctor as soon as possible. Many people (more than a doctor can tell) take Zovirax Suspension only when advised by a doctor. It is usually prescribed when sexual intercourse is intimate in the form of a sore mouth, or genital examinations are performed. In that case, a prescription will be provided as well.If you are advised to take Zovirax Suspension only if a doctor has prescribed you, your medical condition may be different to yours; therefore, if you have any medical conditions, your doctor will determine if the medicine is right for you.

Zovirax Cream 10g is contraindicated in conditions like Hypersensitivity.
The severe or irreversible adverse effects of Zovirax Cream 10g, which give rise to further complications include Rises in blood urea and creatinine, Encephalopathy, Seizures, Acute renal failure, Renal tubular obstruction. Zovirax Cream 10g produces potentially life-threatening effects which include Coma. which are responsible for the discontinuation of Zovirax Cream 10g therapy. The symptomatic adverse reactions produced by Zovirax Cream 10g are more or less tolerable and if they become severe, they can be treated symptomatically, these include Headache, Nausea, Vomiting, Anorexia, Severe local inflammatory reactions, Tremors, Abdominal pain, Skin rashes, Confusion, Erythema, Lethargy, Itching, Hallucination, Malaise, Elevation of liver enzymes, Contact dermatitis, Agitation, Stinging on application, Crystalluria, Transient burning, Reaction at injection site, Confusion, Skin rashes.
This medication should be used with caution during pregnancy and lactation. Topical preparation (e.g cream) is not recommended for application to mucous membranes, particular care should be taken to avoid accidental introduction into the eyes.

Directions:
